Trainee Transport Coordinator

THR Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK structural steelwork specialist for a Trainee Transport Coordinator. The Role Working alongside the Transport Manager, you will support the coordination of day-to-day transport and logistics operations across the business. You will liaise with production teams, subcontractors, external hauliers and site teams to ensure deliveries are planned, communicated and completed safely, efficiently and on time. Key Responsibilities Assist with planning and scheduling deliveries in line with production requirements. Monitor deliveries and identify potential delays or issues. Liaise with hauliers, subcontractors, production teams and site staff. Prepare accurate delivery notes and transport documentation. Maintain accurate transport records. Support the Transport Manager with daily logistics operations. Skills & Experience Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Good communication and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Basic IT skills. Ability to work effectively in a busy environment. Previous transport, logistics, administration or manufacturing experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided. Salary & Benefits Salary: Dependent on experience.
